ONECUTクラスのホメオドメインプロテインHNF-6がチューブリンの発現を活性化。また、神経管に発現するPAX-258の発現を制限した。これらの事から、ホヤ胚発生の間にHNF-6が神経の分化や神経細胞の区域化に働いていることが示唆された。
